Accelerator for Emerging Fashion and Lifestyle Brands
TIn 2007, the cities of Lille and Roubaix joined forces to create the first-ever accelerator of fashion, accessories and lifestyle product talent in the Hauts-de-France region of France. A pioneer and visionary, Maisons de Mode has been on a mission since its very start. Our labels and brands are dedicated to the slow fashion movement, championing fashion that is the height of both creativity and eco-responsibility.
Maisons de Mode is located in Hauts-de-France, the perfect region for the development of young fashion brands due to its myriad of textile-related institutions and businesses: schools, weavers, lace-makers, innovation hubs, research centres, mail-order & online retailers, and international apparel brands…
Here, heritage, tradition, creativity, design and technical expertise are combined with innovation and technology to create the perfect launchpad for talented designers.
The Maisons de Mode project is unique in France. It consists of a staff of 11 skilled industry professionals as well as outside consultants well versed in the challenges facing young brands.
The objectives of Maisons de Mode
Ambitious and unprecedented, with support from the cities of Lille and Roubaix, the Métropole Européenne de Lille, the Hauts-de-France region and several other private partners, the Maisons de Mode project aims to recruit the brands and labels of tomorrow. Designers targeted include those working in fashion, accessories and lifestyle products, whom Maisons de Mode supports throughout their development.
“Our mission is to identify emerging brands with strong potential and to support them during the various stages of their development.” Since 2007, Maisons de Mode has supported and guided emerging talents while spotlighting “Made in Hauts-de-France” design. This support has come through events and other actions that have raised many of our designers’ visibility worldwide, highlighting the region’s designer hexagon area.
Maisons de Mode offers the following locations to designers: the Jardin de Mode space in Lille and Le Vestiaire in Roubaix, as well as approximately 20 boutique-design studios in both cities, along with an in-house sample-making studio.
Maisons de Mode also offers locations specially renovated by Métropole Européenne de Lille, devoted to fashion designers.
(rue du Faubourg des Postes)
The Jardin de Mode, a renovated former cinema, now houses five design studios for junior contract designers, an on-site sample making studio, a photo studio, an events space, and Maisons de Mode staff offices.
Located on the Rue du Faubourg des Postes are seven boutique-design studios for designers with senior contracts and five apartments.

At Avenue Jean Lebas, there are seven boutiques welcoming designers with senior contract status.
