Maisons de Mode | Le site officiel des Maisons de Mode

The cities of Lille and Roubaix are united behind one goal : to develop textile design by offering support to new fashion designers who will contribute to the resurgence of northern France’s textile industry.

This unprecedented, ambitious project has the backing of not only Lille and Roubaix, but also of the Lille Métropole Communauté Urbaine and the Conseil Régional. Because of their support, new labels and their designers have been installed in renovated boutique-design studios in Lille and Roubaix where they receive individual, personalised guidance and assistance from Maisons de Mode through each stage of their development.

The objectives of Maisons de Mode

To identify and guide emerging designers with an already established brand in developing their businesses for the long run. To revitalise the two neighbourhoods in Lille and Roubaix where the designers, studios and boutiques are located. To spark a fashion movement in the metropolitan Lille area that brings national and international attention to the most promising talents.

Since 2007, Maisons de Mode has had two locations renovated by the Lille Communauté Urbaine especially for fashion designers.

In Lille

(rue du Faubourg des Postes)

7 boutique/studios & 5 apartments

The Jardin de Mode, a renovated former cinema featuring six design studios for jeunes pousses (green shoots), a patternmaking studio, an events space and a designer boutique.

In Roubaix

(avenue Jean Lebas et rue de l’Espérance)

15 boutique/studios : seven boutiques on Avenue Jean Lebas & eight in the heart of Le Vestiaire

Le Vestiaire is a huge, loft-like space adjacent to Roubaix’s famed Musée La Piscine. This space features Maisons de Mode designer boutiques as well as pop-up stores and Le LaboM, a bar-restaurant run by La Maison Meert. Last but not least, Le Vestiaire also houses a fashion and design collective : Le Grand Bassin.
