Our events

Maisons de Mode is well known for the events and shows it organises throughout the year. Among the most notable are:

The Marché des Modes

Northern France’s not-to-be-missed fashion event of the season, the Marché des Modes fashion fair brings more than 100 designers from all over France to Roubaix twice a year. More than 15,000 visitors flock to browse and buy from the vast array of merchants and designers.

Aimed at the public at large, the Marché des Modes also welcomes fashion industry professionals (retailers, fashion labels and others) and allows the event’s organisers to scout for new talent to recruit to the Maisons de Mode label. If you wish to become an exhibitor at the Marché des Modes, click here to download the registration form.

The Nuit des Soldes

Twice a year, Maisons de Mode designers (and some other invited designers) come together to offer a pre-sale of their latest collections. La Nuit des Soldes is French for ‘The Night of Sales’, and takes place in the heart of Lille’s Jardin de Mode. Fashionistas on the lookout for bargains need no excuse to take advantage of this exceptional event, complemented by cocktails and a DJ playing to set the mood.

The vide-dressing Maisons de Mode

At the change of each fashion season, Maisons de Mode organises a huge ‘vide-dressing’ – or closet clear-out – at Le Vestiaire in Roubaix. Twenty or so fashion gluttons come to empty their voluminous wardrobes of designer-label clothes and accessories – at prices that are a steal. This five-hour event is a must for fashionistas and fashion victims on the hunt for bargains. During this event, Maisons de Mode designers also open their boutiques-ateliers to the public. Cocktails are served and a DJ plays to provide ambiance, and a professional fashion photographer is on hand to shoot you in your new purchases, if you’re ready for your close-up.

The 48h Maisons de Mode

To mark the end of summer, every year Maisons de Mode and their designers take over Lille’s landmark Gare Saint Sauveur train station for a weekend-long fashion extravaganza.
Launched on a lark five years ago, this fashion festival now welcomes more than 15,000 visitors every year. The weekend kicks off with the Maisons de Mode fashion show staged by Guillaume Joveneau, internationally-renowned director of fashion shows for major design houses in New York, Paris and Milan. This is followed by two days of activities and events, including: photo shoots, fashion workshops, a high-heeled Glam Run (open to male and female competitors), the ‘bar à custom’ stand where old clothes are given new life, the ‘bar à tatoos’ temporary tattoo stand, pop-up shops, a manicure stand, model casting calls, a designer’s workshop for kids, parties and other surprises…
