Julie Lambert-Coucot comes from a family of watchmakers and jewelers established in the North since 1954. It is her grandfather who is at the origin of the history of the family. A native of Franche-Comté, he came to sell watches from Besançon, by train and then by bike, to jewelers in the region before settling permanently in the small town of Avion located near Lens in the mining area. His father, a watchmaker, then took over the jewelry business in 1987 and his jeweler uncle moved to Valenciennes. A year later, Julie was born and raised in this universe and inherited the family passion.

Gifted for drawing and sensitive to art, at the age of 15 she began her studies in jewelry at Morteau – her father’s place of study – and finished with a DMA at the BOULLE school in Paris – school where his uncle also studied. She gained professional experience with famous houses such as Van Cleef & amp; Arpels, Dior or even De Grisogono and goes on a V.I.E mission abroad. Back in 2013, she decided to open her own workshop in Arras and then in Croix to finally create her first brand, L’artisan Créateur.

Since 2015, she has participated in numerous exhibitions in order to promote her brand as Maison et Objet, Bijorhca, Who’s Next, Homi, Barberconnect and Inhorgenta. It is thus increasing the number of partner boutiques (barbers, concept stores, high-end perfumery, made in France boutique), i.e. 110 points of sale in France and abroad in 2020.

In 2016, she joined the grouping of French art workshops referencing and promoting art craftsmen on French territory. In 2019, Julie created Coucot, an eponymous brand that is more personal by offering jewelry made in her workshop with a chic and rock universe. The emblematic materials of the brand are horn, silver and gold plated – as well as gold for tailor-made. Julie offers a repair service on estimate.

Coucot, it is the designer’s deliberate bias to enhance a noble material: the horn as a natural and noble material. Forgotten since the arrival of plastic and resins, it modernizes this raw material by creating and manufacturing a range of bovine horn jewelry. Leather goods and combs complete the brand’s DNA with accessories that will appeal more to male customers and barbers. Because the modern man has a beard and a hair style that he maintains and because the beard is fashionable that the comb has become an essential accessory for its maintenance. Men will therefore be seduced by the design and quality of these combs! Coucot is the promise of a unique, timeless style for quality accessories made in France.

Urban Circus conquers China on BFMTV

“The mobility market is exploding,” notes Henri de Kergolrlay, co-founder of Urban Circus. More than just a fad, ecomobility is now a deep trend and shared around the world. When traveling by bike or scooter, wearing reflective clothing – and especially during night trips – is more than recommended. Since its creation in 2015, Urban Circus has shaken up the high visibility clothing market with a collection of “fashion” products designed to protect users. Style in the service of safety, such is the philosophy of the French start-up.
