In the 30th Marché des Modes spotlight : L’Envers

L'Envers-Marché-des-Modes-Maisons-de-Mode

The creation of the label l’Envers was inspired by the wish to continue families’ heritage and to link to the textile industry in northern France, and to raise awareness of northern France’s relevance through the current fashion industry. Thus, for Julie Robinne it’s a story of her childhood and of her desire to re-awaken legacies of generations of Spanish craftsworkers, where she has lived some years.

L’Envers, a timeless, durable label that values quality over quantity, offers collections that transcend both trends and seasons.

At the other end of the timetable of fashion weeks and seasons and built-in obsolescence of a garment, beyond fast fashion’s quickly produced, quickly consumed and quickly disposed of ethos, l’Envers has found its raison d’être in offering simple, durable luxury that respects both its craftsmen and the environment.

Working with knitwear workshops located in Spain and Portugal, l’Envers draws on the talents of small family businesses specialised in hand- and machine-knitting.

The raw materials, selected exclusively from fine French threads, are the highest quality and respectful of the environment.

The garments are for the man and woman inspired by the history of artisanal production, by slow fashion, by lovers of beautiful pieces woven and knitted with care, love and patience, and by those who wish to know the hands behind every piece of their garment.

L’Envers will come to join 100 other designers for the next edition of Marché des Modes which will take place at the landmark ENSAIT building and at Le Vestiaire December 1-3 in Roubaix.

Please note our new event hours:
Friday 1 December from 4 pm to 9 pm

Poetic Market-Marché-des-Modes-Maisons-de-Mode

Poetic Market was born of its designer’s love of prints and the world of children.

Bérénice Sorel is this designer, a woman passionate about textiles, beautiful materials, and respect for the environment.
Sorel decided to produce her collections in Europe, with the printing of the fabric done in the Netherlands and production of the garments done in Belgium.

In the 30th Marché des Modes spotlight : Body & Clyde

Body-and-Clyde-Marché-des-Modes-Maisons-de-Mode

The story of Body & Clyde.
It’s the story of a couple that has long been together, often in a love-hate relationship, who find themselves married. It’s the story of an unprecedented meeting between two of the basics of women’s dressing: the white T-shirt blanc and little black knickers. Together, they form the Body T-shirt®.

Black knickers: a touch of class, they’ve always been the essence of charm and sensuality.

The white T-shirt: versatile in its simplicity, whether worn on its own or with jeans.

A unique piece is born with their union, a subtle alliance of seduction and modernity, expressed in three models: round neck/high cut bottom, V-neck/classic cut bottom, and vest-top/low-cut bottom. Three different interpretations of femininity, each one chic and cool, creating sublime looks.

Worn with high-waisted trousers, under pencil skirts or with shorts, or by themselves at home when you’re chilling, Body & Clyde is back to basics meets innovative style.

A graduate of both the Studio Berçot and l’Institut Français de la Mode fashion institute, Olivia Louvet earned her stripes as a designer working at Dior and Balenciaga. She was also part of the lingerie staff at the Galeries Lafayette department store chain before she launched Body & Clyde.

You can meet Louvet and discover her collections at the next edition ofMarché des Modes, which will take place at the landmark ENSAIT building and at Le Vestiaire December 1-3 in Roubaix.
