In the 30th Marché des Modes spotlight : Fabric Hunted & Collected

Guided by her passion for travel, textiles and craftsmanship, Gabrielle Lefèvre decided in 2015 to create her own brand: Fabric Hunted & Collected. . This was following six years of solid experience at the heart of Paris’ prestigious Chanel studio. At this point, she aimed to conceive a line that would express fully her taste for fashion and creativity, combined with her commitment to sustainable development. Her creations would also support the work of local craftspeople with whom she had formed connections in India and Nepal.

The savoir-faire of these artisans is the initial spark for each of Lefèvre’s collection. Her creative world is fed by their expertise and the visual influences gleaned from her voyages through south Asia. Lefèvre combines her own knowledge of design, forged through working beside some of the biggest names in the fashion industry and in her collaborations with fashion magazines such as Marie Claire, L’Officiel and Jalouse. These assets allow her to endow Fabric Hunted & Collected with style, originality and elegance.
Interestingly, Lefèvre develops her creations on handwoven fabric, sourced directly from local workshops. Her collections are an ode to the patience and values of the artisan, each piece being meticulously crafted. Fabric Hunted & Collected celebrates journeys, cultures, discoveries and the respect exchanged with the craftsworkers. From this, unique creations are imperfect in their uniqueness but perfect in their quality.

After taking part for the first time in the Braderie des Créateurs at this year’s 48H Maisons de Mode, Lefèvre will come to present her collections to public at the next edition of Marché des Modes, which will take place at the landmark ENSAIT building and at Le Vestiaire December 1-3 in Roubaix.
